AIMA encourages library media specialists to pursue National Board Teacher Certification. This intensive professional development experience is designed to provide "Better Teaching, Better Learning, Better Schools." (http://nbpts.org/)

National Board for Professional Teaching Standards

AIMA offers a support group for Library Media candidates, and this group has successfully mentored numerous candidates over the past several years.
